Gordon Private Wealth is led by Shea Gordon, its Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Shea brings a diverse array of experiences in the financial services industry to his leadership role, and has honed his skills over a 24-year period in which he has served as:
Private Wealth Advisor - managed the wealth of affluent and high net worth clients while employed at some of the most recognizable private wealth management firms on Wall Street, including Sanford Bernstein, Goldman Sachs, and U.S. Trust / Bank of America Private Wealth Management.
Alternative Investment Executive - led teams as a corporate executive and coached hundreds of financial advisors around the country on how to integrate institutional alternative investments into portfolios for clients, including private real estate investments managed by Hines and private credit investments managed by Blackstone.
Private Attorney - represented individual investors and financial advisors as a private attorney practicing law in Southern California at Freeman, Freeman & Smiley LLP.
Industry Regulator - protected individual investors as a member of the enforcement division of the National Association of Securities Dealers, which later became FINRA.
Shea graduated from the school of Arts & Sciences at Vanderbilt University with a major in economics and minor in mathematics. Shea is also a graduate of the Pepperdine University School of Law. Shea is an inactive member of the California Bar Association. Additionally, he holds series 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations through LPL Financial. Shea is also a licensed life insurance agent.
On a personal note, Shea and his wife have been married for 16 years and they have two children. While at college, Shea earned a position on the football team at Vanderbilt University as a walk-on athlete, following his high school days in Houston, where he played for Stratford High School during the era of Friday Night Lights. Also, Shea is a former trustee and treasurer of the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
